Abstract | How the marketization of China affects technical progress of industry? This paper use the industrial marketization index and 1995-2014 panel data of China's high-tech industry make a study. The results show that the marketization has greatly promoted the technological progress of China 's high-tech industry, and the promotion effect has been enhanced after entered WTO. And the marketization promote technical progress of China's high-tech industry through the mechanism of R&D investment effect, resource allocation effect, technology trade effects and talent flow effect, but there are differences in the impact of the five aspects of the industrial marketization, the impact of development of non-state-owned economic, product-market development and institutional environment are significant, while the impact of relationship between government and market and factor market development is not obvious. Moreover, the marketization play an indirect role in promoting technical progress through affecting the technology transfer and technology spillover of indigenous R&D. This paper has some guiding significance for the market-oriented reform and the policy design of industrial technological progress in China. |
