| Abstract | Search-based monetary theory has experienced three phases since it was established at the end of the 20th century. This theory emphasizes the role of money as a medium of exchange, and studies the fundamental issues such as prices, inflation, and monetary policy. This paper introduces the main ideas of the theory in the three phases and makes brief comments on this theory. |
