| Abstract | The present research for Chinese human capital research could not reflect the “capital” essence of the human capital. This paper points out that human capital as a kind of “capital” should also include its cost and maintenance. The estimation based on revenue could not reflect its cost. In addition, it could not be applied in Chinese situation because of the unstable market situation. Through the estimation of this paper, we find Chinese human capital is about 865,00 billion Chinese Yuan in 2008, about 56% of the total social fortune. However, human capital brought by education is only about 10% of the total human capital. Generally speaking, china is still a big population country, not a powerful human capital country. |
