Besides the founding organizers , up to now, the members of the Council include: Schools of Economics of Peking University, Business School of Beijing Normal University, Dongbei University of Finance and Economics, School of Economics of Fudan University, College of Economics of Jinan University, School of Economics of Liaoning University, School of Business of Nanjing University, School of Economics of Nankai University, PBC School of Finance of Tsinghua University, School of Economics of Shandong University, Economics and Management School of Wuhan University ,School of Finance and Economics of Xi’an Jiaotong University, Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, Wang Yanan Institute for Studies in Economics (WISE) and the School of Economics of Xiamen University, College of Economics of Zhejiang University, School of Economics of Renmin University of China, Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, and Lingnan (University) College of Sun Yat-sen University.

The term of every member lasts for three years. The Council holds at least one plenary session every year, gathering all members to make decisions on important issues of the China Youth Economists Forum. The Council also makes collective decision on which member to hold the next forum.
