• An Analysis of Labor and Labor theory of value |
Abstract:Since the publication of Marxs “Capital” more than 130 years ago,the world has registered an earth-shaking change which led to the expansion of labor field and modification of labor formation. All these have raised a series of new problem needed to be deeply studied, such as whether the living labor put into the commodity production is the only source of the value created and whether the materialized labor participates in the value creation;whether the tertiary industry, especially the labor consumed in the circulation and service creates the value; how to treat the scienfic and technological labor as well as the managerial labor; why the production factors shall take part in the income distribution and so on.This paper is intended to analyze and study these issues and give some preliminary opinions upon them based on the materialist conception of history and materialist dialectics,as well as taking into consideration the history of human soical evolution. |

• Tariffs,Monetary Polivy and Chinas Real Equilibrium Exchange Rate |
Abstract:After Chinas accession to the WTO,policy measures such as the declining of tariff will have some influences on Chinas real equilibrium exchange rate; meanwhile,Monetary and fiscal Policy adjustments in an open economy can also change the equilibrium exchange rate.Adopting dynamic general equilibrium method,This paper examines the long-run effects of tariffs, monetary expansion and fiscal policy changes on Chinas real equilibrium exchange rate after Chinas joining the WTO.We extend Turnovskys two goods capital accumulation model by adding money to both firms production function and consumers utility function, and explore steady state comparative static analysis through calibration. The results suggest that a decrease of tariff will create a real depreciation of the exchange rate, while a tax increase and a reduction in government spending on traded goods will cause a real appreciation.Empirical results indicate that both the descending of foreign real interest rate and a slump of monetary expansion will induce a real depreciation of Chinas currency. |

• International Multi-market Oligopoly and Its Policy Implication |
Abstract:We examine the policy implications of international multi-market oligopoly where a home firm having increasing marginal production cost is a monopolist in the home market and a duopolist with a foreign firm in the foreign market. We find that the optimal policy combination for the home government under Bertrand competition consists of a domestic production subsidy and an export tax,but under Cournot competition consists of a production subsidy and an export subsidy. As a byproduct of our analysis,we show that an export tax rebate will always aggravate the domestic market distortion and cannot definitely increase the national welfare. |

• A Law Economics Analysis on Reward-offering Advertisement |
Abstract:This article analyzes the reward-offering advertisements by dwelling on a specific case with law and economics. We think that the reward-offering advertisement is a kind of contract dealing with property-rights exchange offered by the owner of lossd to the indefinite collector. To create and increase the reward-offering advertisement is an institutional innovation that meets practical needs, promotes cooperation, creates cooperative surplus and improves social welfare or reduce the efficiency loss. But creating a insitution or contract and making peoples to accept it is quite a long process. It is very important for the state to give the legal affrimations to decrease the transaction costs during the process and improve efficiency of institution-operating.Therefore,we suggest that the state should amend to or draw up the relative laws to become one of innovators of this new institution. |
